Example 2:
The next example is from Blue Bossa, the same chord progression from example two of my last lesson. Before playing both the bass line and guide tones together, I suggest learning them separately (ex. 2a and 2b), as they are a little tricky to coordinate. When putting them together, try and think of the example as two different parts working together. After all, that's what you're doing - playing a bass part and a chord part simultaneously.
